How to install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on PC

Android is an operating system now being developed by Google and it is preferred by many millions of mobile users. On October 19 Google announced Android 4.0. Many of us are inspired to use Android 4.0 and we think that we need a device which is pre-installed with Android 4.0 to have a look at it.But it is not true. You can run Android 4.0 on your PC. Ok lets see how to install and run Android 4.0 on your PC.

Follow the steps below.

1. Go to this URL. Select your OS and download the Android SDK.

2. Extract or install your downloaded Android SDK file.

3. Now open the folder where you have extracted or where you have installed it and open SDK Manager.

4. The application will load and fetch all the Android SDK packages.

5. After that select “Android 4.0 (API 14)” and “Android SDK Platform-tools” and press “Install Packages”.

6. A new window will ask you for confirmation of installing. Press “Install”.

7. Wait for some time until the selected packages get installed on your PC.

After installing click “Finish” and close Android SDK Manager.

8. Now open AVD manager which is located in the Android SDK Folder (which you have extracted before) and click the button “New”. It will display a new window.

Enter a name according to your wish in the field “Name”.

Select “Android 4.0 – API level 14″ on the list box in-front of label “Target”.

9. Press ok.

10. Select the virtual disk created and press start.

11. There is no need to change anything in the new window and continue by pressing “launch”

12.Now wait for some times. Many cmd windows will flash in your screen. No need to worry about it. This booting process will take about 5 min for the first time.

13.Finally you have entered your world of Android.
